GLASTONBURY - The London Underground Stage

EYESONTHEWALL was commissioned by Block9, a young company specializing in set and environment design, to perform at Glastonbury, the largest green field open-air music and performing arts festival in the world.
We occupied The London Underground Stage - a sinister, decaying tower block with a blazing tube train bursting from the top. A diverse spectrum of visuals reflecting the urban/ghetto mood spread on 32 monitors, creating a razzle-dazzle combination of light and eclectic visuals. During the pre-production stage we animated the still imagery, traveled to and almost got lost in a deserted warehouse, we produced footage with a camera fixed to a bicycle and learnt by heart the schedule of the National Railway system.
EYESONTHEWALL conducted the visuals for the cream of London's sound system underground, ranging from dubstep to dancehall and reggae with the special sets by The Nextmen and Annie Mac, our 3 nights non-stop visual performance was a backbone to the London Underground mayhem.
