PETRUSHKA for the INTERNATIONAL WIMBLEDON MUSIC FESTIVAL 2012

EYESONTHEWALL were commisioned by the International Wimbledon Music Festival with the production of a multi media film version of the Petrushka ballet combining live projections and puppetry to create a truly interactive and immersive performance.
The premiere of the production was performed by Mikhail Rudy at the Festival in November 2012. The film features ballet dancers from leading companies in London and the wonderful puppets from the Little Angel Theatre.
Stravinsky's famous piece shows the drama of Petrushka, a puppet which comes to life and develops emotions. The result is a beautiful work showing the fusion of music, drama, and dance.
