RIO OCCUPATION LONDON / OLYMPIC FESTIVAL 2012

'The Alley'
Multimedia Installation developed in a collaboration between EYESONTHEWALL and Brazilian artist Eddu Grau for the Rio Occupation London as part of the Olympic Festival 2012.

Commissioned by Rio de Janeiro’s State Culture Secretariat and produced by People’s Palace Projects in the V22, with the support of the Roundhouse, London.

The presented multimedia installation is a walkthrough alleyway which shows the walls and streets of Rio's Favelas on the one side and London's streets and walls on the other side. Periodically the visuals merge with each other and by this creating a new visual experience of both Cities. The visitor undergoes a physical experience by walking through the alleyway and immerse into the worlds of Rio and London at the same time. This experience is accompanied by the mixed sound of the streets of London and the Favela.
